MouseImp PRO is a successor of MouseImp that became popular all over the world. Many users’ wishes were considered in this new version of MouseImp, and many improvements have been implemented, making it even faster and more reliable. Hope you’ll like it, and its unique features will make your work easier and more productive.
Update: a 64-bit version is on the way…
MouseImp is a handy tool that helps you to use your conventional mouse more efficiently. The AutoShrink feature increases your available workspace by removing toolbars from the screen so that only caption bars remain. To access a toolbar, just point to its caption, and it will be restored immediately. The Direct Scroll feature makes it easier to scroll through windows. Instead of using a scroll bar, you can activate MouseImp and scroll by moving the mouse up or down anywhere in the window.
MouseImp also gives you the ability to shrink windows temporarily.

I figured out why MouseImp works for some IE8 users and does not work for others. The trick is that it’s only possible to use MouseImp in IE7 and IE8 if Protected Mode is disabled in Internet Explorer. Not going into much details on what this mode is and why it is advisable to keep it enabled, here’s how to turn it off: IE8-Tools-Internet Options-Security-Enable Protected Mode (uncheck).

It’s been a while since the last update of MouseImp. This new final version of MIPro.DLL supports several Office 2007 applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and some windows in MS Outlook.
Office 2007 support has now been tested, and I included it with the main application. Download and install MouseImp from http://www.mouseimp.com/MIProLive.exe.

It’s been a while since the last update to MouseImp code. As recently reported, MouseImp had issues in Windows Vista. I have traced the code and made several modifications to MIPro.DLL in order to fix these issues. It seems now that basic functions work correctly in Vista.
If you detect any bugs or issues, please post them here as a comment to this article.
Note: this version of MIPro.DLL does not support Mozilla FireFox, as I don’t have the source code for the one that does. However, there is an excellent plug-in that does exactly what MouseImp has to do, only in FireFox. It’s called Grab and Drag, and can be downloaded from http://grabanddrag.mozdev.org/
Update: the Vista capable MIPro.DLL is now part of the main distributive. If you are new to MouseImp, you may simply download the full version of MouseImp Pro Live!
